THE RAYMOND LEBLANC AWARD

RLF wishes to encourage and support innovation by establishing an annual prize to be awarded to young strip cartoonists. Candidates must present a short story, with a cover, on a given topic. Winners will be published collectively by Éditions du Lombard. Also, an exhibit will be devoted to them, and the grand prize winner will receive financial support.

RAYMOND LEBLANC PRIZE 2009-2010

 The Raymond Leblanc Foundation, in the name of the founder of Editions du Lombard, of the Tintin journal and of the Belvision animated cartoon studios, is organizing a prestigious competition aimed at encouraging young talents in comic book creation.

The Prix Raymond Leblanc has the largest endowment of all prizes for comic books: 10,000 € for the top winner, the publication of a collective album for the top five winners and the exhibition of the works of the top 15 winners.

 

Around the theme of "Un Monde sans pétrole", each participant has to create a cover and four story boards. The deadline for the prize winners for 2009-2010 is 24 June inclusive.
